Minor side effect are relatively uncommon but have been reported in 8.6% of cases. These can include nausea, flushing, headache, flu-like symptoms, fatigue, muscle pain, and others.
Serious adverse effects are rare but have been reported in 0.3% of cases. A serious allergic (anaphylactic) reaction to this drug is very rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: “hives” / rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness or any trouble breathing. We will also monitor for low blood pressure. If you experience any of these symptoms during your treatment or afterwards, please alert the treating team immediately. Advanced cardiac life support/ACLS trained nurses and doctors are immediately available should any adverse reactions occur.
